This Role’s Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to own and grow The Scholarship System’s social media presence , increasing reach, engagement, and conversions through strategic content and community management.

You’ll create and manage digital content across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest), analyze performance, and continuously improve based on data. You’ll also collaborate with our team during launches, driving excitement and engagement around our mission to help families graduate debt-free.

We’re looking for someone who takes full ownership of results — someone who doesn’t just “manage posts,” but proactively seeks out opportunities to expand our impact, test new ideas, and keep our content relevant and fresh.

The number one goal of this position is to turn our customers’ and potential customers’ biggest challenges and obstacles into content that will lead them to engage with our company and experience massive success. We need YOU to help spread the word of all the amazing resources we're creating for families!

Tasks Include:

  • Create a comprehensive social media strategy to increase visibility, membership, and traffic across our brand
  • Driving leads to our free webinar to increase sales
  • Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities
  • Monitor trends in social media and appropriately apply that knowledge
  • Copywriting and visual creation for social posts, stories and reels
  • Measure the impact of social media on the overall marketing efforts
  • Tiktok + Instagram + Facebook strategy development and implementation
  • Support audience during live launches & promotions, primarily on social media outlets
  • Replying back to send appropriate links and answer questions on social posts and inboxes
  • Occasionally taking knowledge with social copy and creatives and writing email copy when it makes sense
  • Managing all social media aspects for live launches (2-3x/year) including posts in launch groups, social media, Manychat, broadcast channel, etc.
  • Setting up Manychat automations (i.e. comment X and we'll send you the link)
  • Documenting processes in Asana and creating SOPs for easy implementation
  • Potential future project: Using social media to launch new podcast and gain listenership

Success in this role looks like:

  • Increased reach and engagement on social media by 20%+ within 6 months
  • Consistent, high-quality posting across all major platforms (ideally daily)
  • Strong community interaction (comments, DMs, Manychat engagement) increased by 10% within 6 months
  • Clear weekly reporting on performance and insights
  • On-time, creative execution during launches to increase leads and conversions (KPIs set in the new year)

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have:

  • At least 25-30 hours of availability per week
  • An interest in going deep on one brand - understanding its audience, message, voice inside and out - rather than juggling multiple clients (open to discussing this for those who may have 1 or 2 clients but we are not looking to be part of an agency client relationship)
  • Passion for social media strategies and staying ahead of the curve, always bringing new ideas to the table
  • Strong data and analytic skills to guide decisions
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Enjoys optimizing, improving, and fulfilling repeatable systems and processes
  • Picks up technology quickly and easily
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of English writing/grammar - must be fluent
  • Exceptional personal character, including a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to assist others at all times
  • This is a very hands-on position with the opportunity to truly impact the business, therefore, will be treated as a such and held to those standards
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram, Youtube) - the more, the better, though not all are expected.
  • Reliable internet connection is a MUST.
  • Bonus: Experience with the college process in the United States of America, especially scholarships and financial aid.
  • This position may be structured as either a 1099 contractor or W-2 employee arrangement, depending on the candidate’s location, experience level, and desired working relationship.

  • WordPress (occasionally but still relevant)
  • ActiveCampaign (basic email copy, tagging, and tracking)
  • Google Drive and Sheets for collaboration
