A leading provider of high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions is looking for a Senior or Principal IC Design Engineer to join their advanced connectivity team. This group develops cutting-edge signal conditioning ICs that enable next-generation high-speed copper interconnects for data center, telecom, and networking applications.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in BiCMOS and a proven track record designing adaptive equalizers and re-drivers for high-speed copper cable and board-level applications. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong circuit-level design experience and full IC tapeout ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and tapeout BiCMOS ICs for adaptive equalizers and re-drivers in high-speed copper interconnects
Develop broadband high-frequency circuits meeting stringent signal integrity and jitter performance targets
Own block-level schematic design and verification in Cadence or Synopsys tools, driving designs to production silicon
Collaborate with layout and system engineering teams to optimize performance while owning circuit-level implementation
Ensure compliance with Ethernet and custom high-speed link standards

Skills and Requirements
- 1225 years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design
- Strong background in BiCMOS circuit design (Bipolar-only is not sufficient)
- Proven full IC tapeout experience for high-speed copper applications
- Expertise in adaptive equalizers and re-drivers
- Experience with broadband high-frequency designs:
- Circuits operating at 75100 GHz
- Familiarity with E-band (6070 GHz), W-band (up to 110 GHz), and designs above 25 GHz
- Knowledge of adaptive equalization techniques (algorithm familiarity is helpful but secondary to circuit design)
- Proficiency with Cadence or Synopsys design tools
- Experience with Ethernet SerDes and retimer architectures Prior work on Ethernet PHYs, high-speed re-timers, equalization, or signal conditioning ICs
Experience from companies specializing in copper connectivity (e.g., Broadcom, Marvell, Analog Devices, NXP, etc.)
Exposure to both custom and standards-based high-speed link designs null
