The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Loan Operations Assistant Manager role located in the Schaumburg, IL area. The selected candidate will directly manage loan operations staff and receptionist and supervise other loan support staff (Admins and Processors).

This position offers a generous salary of up to $90K and full benefits package.

Loan Operations Assistant Manager responsibilities include:

  • Managing the process for daily loan report review and develop processes/procedures to minimize repeat findings.
  • Actively contribute to current and future department initiatives for workflow implementation, technology, and process improvements.
  • Reconciling loan-specific general ledger accounts and process loan-related accounts payable.
  • Monitoring the workflow process to ensure all loan requests move efficiently through all stages.
  • Providing guidance and oversight on due diligence and documentation including Mortgage title insurance, hazard insurance, and flood insurance, Real estate and equipment appraisals, Requirements for perfecting a security lien, Loan documentation preparation, and review.
  • Creating and distributing various loan reports for the department, Bank Management, and the Board of Directors.
  • Serving as the bank liaison with the core processor (Fiserv) for all matters including, but not limited to, products and specifications, monetary transactions, loan maintenance, and integration/balancing issues.
  • Creating, revising, or maintaining written procedures for department duties.
  • Writing and delivering performance reviews for direct reports, and providing data to measure performance for Loan Admins and Processors.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience in loans.
  • Five or more years of loan processing and documentation experience.
  • Subject matter expert in all areas of loan processing and loan documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with traditional application software programs (spreadsheet, word processing, database, and scheduling) to perform daily tasks.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
  • Experience writing and delivering performance reviews.
  • Proven ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective, professional written and verbal communication.
