: Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist
Responsible for daily billing and posting of cash receipts. Responsible for keeping customer accounts current. This includes making collection calls, applying payments, answering billing questions and applying payments. Manage all aspects of company accounts receivable and answer the phones in a CSR capacity, helping customers when necessary.
· Prepare and apply daily deposit to customer accounts, taking notes of skipped invoices and any irregularities to investigate after cash application.
· Send invoice copies to all customers that skipped an invoice in the payment process to ensure the invoice is in line to be paid.
· Enter all sales into AR also taking note of low delivery quantities to report to Office Manager.
· Process credit card and ACH payments.
· Enter cylinder filling and requalifying data into SharePoint, and data from the drivers route report.
· Contact customers who are past due to resolve delinquency.
· Follow up on “Auto Delivery Hold” accounts to get account deliveries reinstated.
· Upon request, send a copy of the original BOL to customers.
· Write up monthly adjustments to AR and process after manager approves.
· Help customers with account inquiries.
· Answer phones and generate gas tickets.
· Maintain correct account information on customers.
· Process dunning notices as needed or use in-house collection process.
· Scan completed work orders to customer file.
· Work with plant manager and office manager to put customers on credit-hold.
· Fill out bankruptcy forms on customers.
· Keep office supplies stocked, and place orders.
· Follow office closing procedures.
· Work with company collection agency on matters concerning accounts.
· Work on miscellaneous projects for management.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Customer Service training.
Minimum of 3 years of billing and collection experience, and some customer service experience.
Ten-key by touch.
Typing, 55 WPM preferred
