Job Description

We are currently working on a Staff Accountant position in Dallas, Texas. This rule has a variety of duties, including maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting month-end close activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process
  • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with audits and regulatory filings as needed
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc analyses as requested by management
Staff Accountant Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting or related field (internship experience may be considered)
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
