About the Role
The Sales Manager will drive revenue growth by developing and managing relationships with OEM Medical Device manufacturers, focusing on contract manufacturing services. This role involves significant travel within the U.S. and Costa Rica to meet with clients, attend industry trade shows, and support technical sales initiatives. The position requires a proven track record in medical device sales management and the ability to guide projects from initial design discussions through delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the companys manufacturing capabilities, delivering compelling technical presentations to prospective and current clients.

  • Develop and implement targeted sales and marketing programs, including CRM tools and processes.

  • Analyze sales trends to create strategies that increase market share and revenue in the medical device manufacturing sector.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with medical device OEM customers to promote contract manufacturing services for silicone components.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support customer needs from concept through production.

  • Manage the technical aspects of the sales process, ensuring smooth progression to deal closure.

  • Facilitate design and development meetings with clients and engineering teams to align project requirements.

  • Prepare accurate quotes and coordinate onboarding of new projects.

  • Stay current with medical device technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum five years of medical device sales management experience.

  • Demonstrated success in selling to OEM medical device manufacturers.

  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and explain manufacturing processes.

  • Proven ability to travel extensively (up to 75%) for client meetings, trade shows, and site visits.

  • Experience with silicone component manufacturing for medical devices.

  • Familiarity with contract manufacturing processes in regulated industries.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
