Job Description

Lee Academy is seeking a full time Residential Life Director / Boys' Dormitory Parent for the 2025-2026 school year.

Full Time Residential Life Director/Boys' Dormitory Parent

The Residential Life Director / Dorm Parent(s) is responsible for implementing and fostering a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for high school students residing on campus. The director will oversee dormitory life and operations. This role requires a highly-motivated, student-oriented individual who is passionate about designing a robust campus experience for Lee Academy boarding students. This individual will live on-campus in the Boys' Dormitory.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful culture and community for dormitory students.
  2. Ensure the supervision of boarding students.
  3. Maintain up-to-date dormitory information centers.
  4. Facilitate programming that encourages student participation in extracurricular activities and campus life.
  5. Work closely with school administration and other residential life staff to resolve issues and concerns that arise within the dorm and between boarding students.
  6. Oversee the daily operations of the dormitory, including cleanliness, and safety.   
  7. Serve as a liaison between the dormitory and the wider school community. 

Interested candidates must hold or obtain a current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) through the Maine Department of Education. As part of their residential compensation the Residential Life Director/Dorm Parent(s) will be provided dorm housing, all meals, internet, and the ability to participate in dormitory trips.
