  • Identify barriers to persistence (e.g., childcare, transportation, housing, food insecurity) and coordinate solutions with campus and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate records in student information and CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, admissions, financial aid, and student services to streamline processes for adult learners.
  • Advocate for adult learners by identifying and elevating systemic barriers to college leadership.
  • Participate in professional development and SUNY Reconnect training sessions.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Experience working with adult learners, nontraditional students, or in student services/advising roles.
  • Knowledge of admissions, financial aid, student support services and student records processes.
  • Experience using Banner, Degree Works, Slate or case management tools.

Work Environment & Hours

This role requires both office-based and outreach work, including occasional travel to community organizations, workforce partners, and recruitment events. Work schedule will be M-F, 11-7 pm and will require flexibility.
