Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to oversee and optimize procurement operations while fostering supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in corporate procurement and contract negotiations to drive efficient purchasing processes. Responsibilities: - Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order management. - Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and operational efficiency. - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure procurement activities align with organizational goals. - Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure quality and reliability. - Facilitate the preparation and review of RFPs, RFQs, and other proposal documents. - Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout procurement activities. - Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement. - Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions. - Work with Oracle systems to manage procurement workflows and reporting. - Provide guidance and training to team members on procurement best practices. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate procurement and supplier management. - Expertise in preparing and managing purchase orders, RFPs, and RFQs. - Strong skills in contract negotiations and managing statements of work. - Familiarity with Oracle systems and procurement-related software. - Deep understanding of buying processes and procurement functions. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers. - Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
