Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Associate to support bi-weekly payroll operations for agency staff. This hybrid role involves both in-office and remote work, with a focus on accurate payroll processing, data validation, and reporting using ADP and Microsoft Excel .
Process and validate bi-weekly payroll using ADP.
Review time entries and authorize payroll adjustments.
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare payroll-related tax filings and assist with year-end W-2 processing.
Coordinate with HR on employee onboarding, terminations, benefits, and pay rate changes.
Generate reports, perform audits, and maintain accurate records.
Handle ASRS reporting and compliance activities.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of payroll processing experience.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Experience using ADP payroll systems.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Must be local to Phoenix, AZ and available for in-person interview and hybrid work schedule.
Knowledge of Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) reporting.
Experience in a public agency or similar environment.

Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience :
At least 2 years of payroll processing experience .
ADP payroll system experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including pivot tables and VLOOKUP .
Experience reconciling payroll, handling adjustments, and generating payroll reports.
Skills :
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage confidential data and maintain privacy.
Ability to analyze payroll issues and take corrective action.
Work Authorization :
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must pass any required background checks (security required).
Availability :
Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer .
