Live-In Childcare Helper (Part-Time, 20-25 hrs/week) - Polk, NC (45min from Asheville / 1h30 from Charlotte) We are seeking a caring, responsible, and flexible live-in childcare helper to assist part-time (20-25 hours per week, flexible) with our young children. This role offers a unique opportunity to live in the area of Tryon, peaceful artsy small town nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You'll enjoy a beautiful lakefront home in a gated community, access to wellness amenities (home yoga studio and gym + access / paddleboard and kayak on the lake / walking trails), and the chance to be part of a warm, bilingual family. The area offers stunning scenery, and outdoor activities, along with a tight-knit community of local shops and cultural events -- all while being just a short drive from Asheville. Please note: This is a part-time, live-in mother's-helper style position, not a full-time nanny role. It is ideal for someone who values free housing plus a monthly stipend and wants steady part-time childcare experience. Duties Supervise and engage our toddler, ensuring safety and happiness (she plays independently at times) Assist with daily routines such as meals, naps, and playtime Provide light childcare support for our baby (due February 2026) as needed while Mama is nearby Help maintain a tidy, child-friendly living space Occasionally prepare simple snacks or meals for the children Flexibility to adjust hours as family needs change (some weekends or evenings possible - but would be agreed on in advance) Accommodation and Amenities You will have a fully furnished private basement suite (~460 sq ft) featuring: Spacious bedroom with dining corner and lake view Private bathroom Micro kitchen Independent AC/heating controls Additional perks include: Private entrance through our yoga studio Access to paddleboards and kayak on the lake Use of yoga, gym, and dance studio Easy access to trails and nature Utilities included (electricity, water, Wi-Fi) You are welcome to join family dinners on weekdays at your discretion.
