Title: IT Operations Analyst (Disaster Recovery Analyst)
Job Type : Contract, 6+ Months
Location: Hybrid – Daytona Beach, Florida -OR- Plano, Texas

This role ensures the seamless functioning of hardware, software, networks, and databases by proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues. The IT Operations Analyst works closely with other IT teams to support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of systems, as well as assist in optimizing and improving IT processes.

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Business Continuity, Risk Management, or related field required; Master’s Degree/MBA preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in IT Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or Risk/Resilience roles within a medium-to-large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Risk Assessments, and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP).
  • Insurance industry experience preferred but not required.

Description and Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the enterprise IT Disaster Recovery program.
  • Conduct and update Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical business functions, applications, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) testing, including tabletop exercises, functional drills, and full-scale recovery simulations; document outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of disaster recovery strategies, plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) are achievable and aligned with organizational risk tolerance.
  • Develop and deliver Disaster Recovery awareness and training programs for IT teams and business partners.
  • Support alignment between Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and IT Disaster Recovery initiatives to ensure end-to-end organizational resilience.
  • Track, analyze, and report on Disaster Recovery readiness, plan maturity, and compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders during DR exercises and actual incidents, ensuring clear and timely updates.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance organizational preparedness, resilience, and recovery capabilities.
  • Provide insights based on historical incidents, risk assessments, and testing results to help refine strategies and close resilience gaps.
