Assist park staff with documenting historic structures in Seattle related to the Klondike Gold Rush. Such documentation may include condition assessments, building histories, and/ or historic structures reports. Working with park staff and community partners, support drafting updated and new nominations to the National Register.Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePointDuties:Enrollee will work closely with park resources management staff to advise development of park-led, community-supported historic preservation program for Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park ? Seattle Unit.Provide introductory training for park interpretive staff to support education efforts that promote public awareness of historic preservation40%Document historic structures in Seattle related to the Klondike Gold Rush, which may include condition assessments, building histories, historic structures reports30%Working with park staff and community partners, support drafting updated and new nominations to the National Register 30%Other:Overnight travel: Position must make a minimum of one site visit to Pioneer Square Seattle to conduct reviews of historic structures being documented if person in this position does not reside and work in the Seattle area.Physical requirements: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
