Full Job Description Coastal Pipeline Inc is seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a John Deere 544 loader and performing essential tasks such as leveling ditches, delivering materials to job sites, and unloading trucks. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility construction and be familiar with site preparation and equipment operation.
Who We Are Coastal Pipeline, Inc., a family-owned and operated underground utility construction firm, has been serving Broward and Palm Beach counties since 1964. With three generations of experience, our staff brings over 120 years of expertise in estimating and field supervision to each project. Incorporated in Florida in 1995, we specialize in all phases of underground utility work, including water distribution, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, fire suppression, and sitework. Our successful completion of all awarded projects is a testament to our strong working relationships with engineers, general contractors, owners, and city/county authorities.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To - Safely operate a John Deere 544 loader to level ditches, deliver materials, and unload trucks at job sites.
- Assist in site preparation by grading and ensuring proper drainage as directed.
- Transport and distribute materials efficiently to meet project needs.
- Work closely with crew members and supervisors to maintain workflow and complete tasks effectively.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure equipment is maintained and operated properly.
- Be acclimated to Florida's weather conditions and work effectively in various environmental conditions.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess - Proven experience operating a John Deere 544 or similar loader in a utility construction setting.
- Familiarity with ditch leveling, material transport, and site preparation tasks.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail while operating heavy equipment.
- Physical ability to work in challenging conditions and handle manual labor as needed.
- Punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethics to maintain productivity.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
