Lead Innovation at the Intersection of Technology and Patient Care

Are you a seasoned IT professional with a passion for healthcare transformation? We’re seeking an experienced Healthcare Applications Manager to oversee the research, implementation, and optimization of clinical and administrative applications—playing a key role in advancing patient safety, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction at our Watertown, NY facility.

In this high-impact leadership role, you will manage a dynamic team including Analysts, Clinical Informatics Specialists, Programmers, and IS Educators. Your strategic vision and hands-on experience—particularly with Meditech systems ( a plus) —will drive innovation across departments while aligning IT capabilities with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, training, and ongoing support for all enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to identify technology needs and recommend solutions that improve workflow and care quality.

• Supervise a multidisciplinary applications team (Analysts, Informatics, Programming, IS Education).

• Act as a trusted business consultant across hospital departments.

• Oversee system upgrades, integration efforts, and user adoption strategies.

• Maintain data integrity, system security, and regulatory compliance.

• Champion staff education initiatives and best practices in system utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare software implementation and support, with Meditech proficiency a plus, EHR required.

• Proven leadership in managing application teams and IT projects in clinical environments.

• Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

• Professional demeanor with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.

• High integrity, confidentiality, and accountability in all aspects of the role.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business software.
