The Opportunity: Finance Intern

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Finance Intern will assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting by gathering and analyzing data to support business decisions. This includes assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, assessment of financial trends and key performance metrics, and collaborating on ad hoc projects related to revenue modeling, cost analysis, and operational efficiency. Additionally, our Finance Intern will support ongoing financial planning initiatives and assist in identifying areas for process improvement and collaborate with various teams to collect and interpret data.

What can you expect the role to look like:

• Assist in running and maintaining financial models.
• Partner with Manager of FP&A to build out revenue and cost forecast models.
• Produce and analyze ad hoc reporting as needed.
• Provide historical analysis to the business as needed.
• Assist in content and reporting preparation for Executive Team and Board meetings.

What we expect of you:

• Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, IF statements) and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Possess strong attention to details and multitask effectively.
• Experience (or strong desire to learn about) building and maintaining revenue, expense, and cash forecast models.
• The ability to leverage data to help drive informed business decisions.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Creative problem solving in a startup-like atmosphere.
• Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment.
