Job Description:

We are now seeking an experienced Removable Dental Technician to join our team and contribute to our continued success. Located in the committed and growth-oriented community of Terre Haute, IN, this opportunity seeks to bring on a professional who is eager to contribute to the high standards of craftsmanship that Johns Dental Lab is known for. The ideal candidate will be a skilled Removable Dental Technician with a strong background in fabricating various types of removable dental prosthetics, including full and partial dentures. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of dental anatomy, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within set deadlines.

This role offers a four-day workweek with 10-hour days from Monday through Thursday, and occasional opportunities for overtime. This is a full-time role at our physical lab facilities and requires a hands-on approach to the creation and maintenance of removable dental appliances such as dentures and partials. Applicants should be prepared for an engaging work environment where precision and expertise are highly valued. Please note that this position is not remote and requires the technician to be present at the lab for designated work hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate full and partial dentures, ensuring they meet the highest standards of fit, function, and aesthetics.

  • Set teeth, wax-up dentures, and complete the processing and finishing stages.

  • Construct custom trays, bite blocks, and other essential components for denture fabrication.

  • Perform repairs, relines, and adjustments on removable dental prosthetics.

  • Work closely with dentists and other technicians to ensure products meet specific patient requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment, adhering to all safety and quality control protocols.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest techniques, materials, and industry standards in removable prosthetics.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of full and partial denture fabrication and repair processes.

  • In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy and prosthetic fabrication principles.

  • Proficiency in using dental lab tools and materials, including wax, acrylics, and metals.

  • Exceptional manual dexterity and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work efficiently within a 10-hour workday and manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and dental professionals.

  • Reside in or willing to relocate to Terre Haute, IN for daily in-lab work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Removable Dental Technician in a dental laboratory setting

  • Certification in Dental Technology or a related field.

  • Experience with CAD/CAM technology in denture fabrication.

  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in removable dental prosthetics.
