Job Summary

If you're interested in an Entry Level Laboratory Technician job, then this is the best role for you! The Technician supports essential laboratory operations under the supervision of a Full-Time Employee (FTE). Responsibilities include a range of tasks such as seed dropping, crushing, planting, harvesting, counting, grinding, reagent preparation, and other routine lab functions. Work assignments may vary depending on the current production season and daily laboratory needs, and lab team schedules may shift accordingly.

Job Description

• Assist in operating laboratory equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
• Support the receipt and inspection of raw materials; help with ordering and stocking laboratory supplies.
• Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform laboratory tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Apply knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field to maintain quality and consistency.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment under the supervision of a Full-Time Employee (FTE).

Skills Required

• Proficiency in performing repetitive tasks using hands, wrists, and arms.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and general lab procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and/or team-oriented environment (preferred).

Education/Training/Certifications

• Associate degree or higher in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, or related field.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
• Shift Hours:
  • 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs.
• Capability to stand for extended periods (4–6 hours) while performing tasks

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $15.50 to $23.50 per hour based on qualifications.
