Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Before and After School Age Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with school-age children in a daycare or educational setting. The Before and After School Age Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supervising children, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities for school-age children before and after school.
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, and activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Promote positive behavior and social interactions among children, encouraging cooperation and respect.
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, following all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma, with a degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with school-age children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
