Job Description
Are you a skilled claims professional with experience in auto property damage and bodily injury claims? We're looking for a Claims Representative II - Auto Adjuster to join our team! In this role, you'll primarily handle claims over the phone, with occasional field inspections as needed. You'll play a key role in ensuring fair and timely claim resolutions while providing excellent service to policyholders and claimants.
What You'll Do
Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate auto casualty claims, including personal, commercial, and farm-related exposures.
Handle bodily injury and property damage claims while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Take detailed recorded statements and refer potentially fraudulent claims.
Read and interpret contracts to accurately set case reserves.
Communicate professionally and empathetically with policyholders, claimants, and agents via phone, email, and in person.
Work collaboratively with field staff, independent adjusters, and industry experts.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of auto claims experience (preferred).
Experience handling bodily injury and property damage claims (preferred).
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid considerations in claims handling (a plus).
Auto body estimating experience (a plus).
Experience in IN, IL, or OH jurisdiction (preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Bilingual skills (a plus).
Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
