Position Summary CVS Health seeks a highly motivated, strategic, and exceptionally organized Chief of Staff to support the Vice President of Infrastructure Operations and Service Delivery (IOSD). This high-impact role serves as a force multiplier, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of leadership. The candidate will possess a proven track record of strong execution, a strategic mindset, and the ability to interact seamlessly with all organizational levels, including executive leadership. The ideal candidate is a strategic partner and relationship builder who focuses on operational excellence and utilizes deep analytical insights to further our team's success. The Chief of Staff will be directly responsible for key operational tasks and will play a significant role in strategic initiatives, communications, and resource management, as detailed below.
Key Responsibilities: The Chief of Staff will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including but not limited to:
- Strategic Initiatives:
- Partnering with the VP to translate strategic vision into actionable plans and driving execution. This includes monitoring progress against strategic goals, identifying potential roadblocks, and developing solutions.
- Leveraging leadership offsites to facilitate long range planning with the VP and their Executive Leadership Team.
- Operational Excellence:
- Streamlining and optimizing operational processes, communication flows, and decision-making frameworks. This includes managing and prioritizing communications, presentations, and deliverables; preparing for and facilitating key meetings; and ensuring follow-up on action items.
- Manage several key operational areas, including:
- Coordinate with Finance partners to:
- Oversee budget planning and management, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Managing expenses and forecasting, tracking training and travel expenses, and processing transactions.
- Supporting forecasting for project and core hours.
- Resource Management:
- Tracking FTE and contingent worker headcount, managing CW to FTE conversions, and supporting staff augmentation and vendor partner engagement.
- Responsible for employee onboarding/offboarding, hiring processes, requisition reviews, and annual planning for Clarity and resource management.
- Communications:
- Developing and disseminating clear and concise communications for internal team members and external stakeholders.
- Managing tower-specific communications, developing and implementing the leader communication plan, managing tower-specific satellite websites, and organizing tower all-hands meetings and town halls.
- Culture & Engagement:
- Supporting initiatives to foster a positive and engaged work environment.
- Managing responses to the colleague engagement survey, planning colleague engagement events, and supporting other tower-specific efforts (e.g., office hours, newsletters).
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Supporting efforts related to audits, compliance, disaster recovery, and vulnerability management.
- Developing, assigning, tracking, and reporting of organizational goals.
Required Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced, complex organizational environment, with at least 3 years in a Chief of Staff, strategic operations, or similar high-impact role supporting senior executives.
- 3+ years of experience interacting effectively with all levels of an organization, from individual contributors to the executive suite, with poise, professionalism, and influence.
- 3+ years of experience driving complex projects from conception to completion, managing multiple priorities and delivering results.
Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated experience in a large, matrixed organization, preferably within the healthcare or technology sectors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including executive leadership. Highly proficient in developing compelling presentations and executive-level communications.
- Ability to understand complex business challenges, connect the dots across various initiatives, and contribute to the development of long-term strategies.
- Experience in IT infrastructure operations or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications.
- Experience within a large, publicly traded organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- High degree of discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)
Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
