ATARID has been retained to identify an Asset Manager by our client, developing and managing affordable housing assets:
Title: Asset Manager -Affordable Housing
Responsibilities:
-Oversee property management agreements, regulatory agreements, and compliance with various requirements. Managing property budgets, financial performance, and reporting to lenders, investors, and programs.
-Maintain clear and consistent communication with third party property management companies. Address housing objectives, operations, budgeting, lease-up, maintenance, compliance, and operational issues.
-Regularly analyzing operating statements, budgets, and data related to asset management is essential.
-Proactively identify property performance issues and work with relevant staff to create and implement plans to address concerns.
-Analyze and evaluate portfolio progress and enact necessary changes.
-Monitor asset performance against benchmarks including company objectives, metrics, budget, and markets.
-Collaborate on budget forecasts and quarterly valuation updates.
-Improve and develop reporting on key performance metrics.
-Monitor and provide analysis on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational reports.
Qualifications:
-1+ years of experience as Asset Manager in affordable housing, including LIHTC. Will consider Senior Associate with relevant experience.
-Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a minimum of 6 years' work experience can be substituted for a college degree.
-Valid California driver's license.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google tools
-Strong problem-solving skills: organized, detailed, and able to meet deadlines, and execute projects.
-Team player, good sense of humor and ability to collaborate.
-Compassion for those needing affordable housing is important.
Location: Office based in Los Angeles, CA - Not open to remote or hybrid.
Compensation: Up to $110,000 negotiable; commensurate with experience, plus Extensive Benefits Package.
