Job Description

A well-established and growing real estate organization that is focused on the acquisition, development and management of commercial properties on the west coast is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their talented team. The company offers an excellent work environment as well as the opportunity for career advancement. This is a newly created position due to company growth.

The successful candidate must have strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and lead a team.

Salary: $130K-$150K + Bonus

This is a hybrid position

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Management of a team of Property Accountants including training and development
- Building strong relationships with all levels of management including Property Managers and Asset Managers
- Review of the general ledger, reconciliations and financial statements prepared by Property Accountants
- Maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of monthly financial statements for more complex properties or development projects
- CAM reconciliations
- Variance analysis and commentary
- Assisting with budget process
- Work closely with Project Managers and the Acquisitions group
- Process improvements
- Special projects

Accounting Manager Requirements:
- BS Accounting or equivalent
- 8+ years of progressive Accounting experience
- Real estate industry experience required
- Strong experience preparing financial statements for a portfolio of properties
- Excellent communication skills with leadership experience and the ability to build strong relationships within the Accounting group as well as with Property Managers and Asset Managers
- A dynamic personality – always looking to improve processes and show initiative
- Yardi experience
- CAM reconciliation experience
